Miqla MCP: use Miqla from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or any AI assistant

Connect Miqla to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor or any MCP client. Make clips from a YouTube link, check credits and get download links right in the chat.

By the Miqla team · Updated

Miqla has an MCP server, so the AI assistant you already use can work with your Miqla account. Send a YouTube link in a chat with ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, and the assistant tells you what it costs, starts it when you say so, and brings back your best clips with links to watch and download. No tabs, no forms.

What you can ask

  • "What would this cost?" with a link: the length, the price in credits and what you would have left.
  • "Make clips from this, I'm launching a podcast": it suggests settings that fit and starts it.
  • "Are my clips ready? Which one should I post first?"
  • "Give me the download link for the second one."
  • "How much video can I still make this month?"
  • "Switch my default format to square."

It uses the same credits as the app and costs nothing extra. Uploading a video file still happens in the app; the assistant works with links.

You stay in control

  • You choose the access when you connect. Full access can start projects with your credits, change your Preferences and your plan. Read-only can see your credits, projects and clips and change nothing.
  • Nothing that costs you happens without the price. The assistant always shows what a video costs before it starts it, and your assistant asks you to confirm.
  • Change or revoke it any time in Profile → AI assistants. A revoked assistant loses access on its very next request.
  • Each assistant sees only your account, and only through the access you gave it.

Sign-in
OAuth. No API key: your app opens Miqla's sign-in and you choose the access.

If the app is set up with a config file:

Questions

Which assistants work?

ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini on the web, and any app that supports remote MCP servers with sign-in, such as Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code.

Do I need a paid plan of my assistant?

ChatGPT needs a paid plan for custom connectors. Claude and Gemini let you add one on their own terms; check your plan if the option is missing.

Is it a separate subscription?

No. You need a Miqla account, and projects use your Miqla credits, the same as in the app. See how credits work.

What is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets an AI assistant use tools from other services. Miqla publishes its tools over MCP, so any assistant that speaks it can work with your account.
